LPC800-MAX boardThe LPC800-MAX board combines the features of the LPCXpresso, mbed, and Arduino environments. The board is designed in partnership with mbed and developed by Embedded Artists.
What's on the board?- LPC812 in TSSOP20 package
- On-board CMSIS-DAP debug interface running on a LPC11U35
- Top of board has Arduino compatible connectors, bottom of board has mbed and LPCXpresso connectors. Routing configurable via Switch Matrix.
- 3 color user LED, same part as on the LPCXpresso812 board
- A PCF8591 I2C ADC, mainly intended for use with the Arduino connectors
- 14-pin Serial Expansion Interface Connector compatible with several expansion modules from Embedded Artists
- 10-pin SWD connector for optional external debug probe
- User prototyping area
- The board is USB powered
LPC800-MAX
LPCXpresso, mbed, and Arduino supportSupport for LPCXpressoThe LPCXpresso IDE v6 supports programming and debugging the board using the on-board CMSIS-DAP interface, no LPC-Link is needed. The LPCXpresso connector on the board is suitable for use with existing LPCXpresso compatible baseboards.
mbed USB onboard interfaceThe LPC800-MAX board implements the latest version of the mbed interface from ARM. When connected to a PC, the board shows up as a mass-storage device. Firmware images placed on it are written to the LPC812 after a power cycle, as per other mbed boards. The board also shows up as a CMSIS-DAP compatible device allowing users to develop and debug code using any compatible ”off-line” toolchain, such as the ARM-MDK. The mbed SDK has been being ported to the board, and the on-line compiler supports it.

ArduinoArduino is a popular hobbyist platform, with a standardised set of expansion connectors. The Arduino connectors on the LPC800-MAX are compatible with the ”Arduino UNO” platform. Several compatible expansion cards (shields) can be obtained from vendors such as sparkfun, adafruit etc.
Where can I get one?The LPC800-MAX board can be obtained directly from Embedded Artists:
