The TUSB9261DEMO is used to evaluate system compatibility. It provides a TUSB9261 hardware reference design for connection to a SATA device such as a solid state drive, hard disk drive, DVD drive, or Blu-Ray drive. The DEMO board as supplied is intended to operate as a USB bus-powered peripheral with solid-state-drives. In order to use the DEMO board with higher current devices such as hard drives or optical drives, an external power supply is required. More information on the requirements for this external power jack is found in the User's Guide.
