The new PSoC® 3 and PSoC 5 architectures enable CapSense on all devices and the CapSense signals can be routed to any of the GPIO pins (up to 62). Due to the vast amount of programmable analog and digital resources available in these devices, as well as the higher performance CPUs and larger memory sizes, PSoC® 3 and PSoC 5 make great single chip solutions. Typically these applications have a microcontroller doing various functions and a separate CapSense solution. PSoC® 3 and PSoC 5 enable integration of these two devices into a single chip solution. What's more, PSoC® 3 and PSoC 5 CapSense leverages the revolutionary SmartSense™ auto tuning solution. Cypress's SmartSense solution is the industry's first and only true self-tuning system.
